Aldourie Castle is an outstanding example of Scottish Baronial architecture and has been authentically restored to the highest standards, boasting breathtaking beauty and a timeless tranquil atmosphere.
First recorded as a mansion house in 1626, Aldourie castle has witnessed the passing of General Wade’s troups in the Jacobite uprising of 1745 and also played an important part in the life of the famous Victorian artist GF Watts. More recently, the Castle was awarded the HHA/Sotherby’s Restoration Award in 2011.
