Peel Heritage

After a leisurely breakfast served from 8am, our day begins with a boat trip on Loch Ness, the second largest loch in Scotland. Our boat will head down to the romantic ruins of Urquhart Castle, where the majority of Nessie sightings occur. Keep your eyes peeled! We will be travelling on a RIB boat, so we can make our journey as relaxed or as rip-roaring as the mood takes us.

We return to the castle for lunch at 12.30pm, which will be followed by our eagerly anticipated trip to Culloden, the site of the last hand-to-hand battle fought on British soil. The battle itself only lasted one hour and changed the way of life of the Highlands and Islands forever. We will be joined by Scottish Story Teller, Ray Owens, who will bring the stories from the battle to life. The site also boasts a brand new visitor centre and interactive exhibition.

On our arrival back at the castle, there will then be time to dress for dinner before we celebrate our surroundings with a salute to Scottish cuisine at 8.30pm. After dinner we will be joined by a traditional Scottish Ceilidh band to dance the night away.

Following breakfast, you are free to roam and enjoy the Castle, grounds, Loch and the surrounding area and nearby town. 

If you would like to extend your visit to include lunch, we would be happy to book a table for you at the Dores Inn on the banks of Loch Ness.
